Our mission
MCDA supports educational programs within a contemporary and commercial dance division, and trains dancers in a pre-professional program built to prepare them for what comes next.
That means top collegiate dance programs, advanced professional training, and professional auditions, with the technical grounding and performance experience those rooms expect. As the organization grows, so do its programming and leadership structure.

A dedicated division supporting educational programming in contemporary and commercial dance alongside the classical curriculum.
Youth America Grand Prix
YAGP is a cornerstone of our classical track division, for students pursuing careers in professional concert dance.
A one-day summer intensive
MCDA’s one-day Summer Intensive combines Musical Theatre and Ballet through classes in dance, voice and performance, a concentrated look at what pre-professional training asks of a dancer. Dates are announced each spring.
