01Children’s Program

Introduces young dancers to the joy of movement.

First classes should feel like the best part of the week. Our children’s classes build coordination, musicality and confidence through creative movement, ballet fundamentals, tap and an early taste of hip hop, taught with patience, structure and a lot of laughing.

  • Toddler & Creative Movement: the very first class
  • Ballet Fundamentals & Primary: ballet, tap and jazz
  • Hip Hop: athletic, upbeat and age-appropriate

02Centre Track

A solid foundation for the aspiring dancer.

Centre Track is where technique becomes second nature. Dancers train in ballet alongside tap, jazz and hip hop, building the strength, musicality and vocabulary that every other style is written in, and the discipline that makes the next track possible.

  • Ballet: graded technique, black leotard and pink tights
  • Tap & Jazz: rhythm, precision and performance quality
  • Hip Hop: athletic style, current music, real choreography
Recreational to advanced Directed by Allie Jones

03Classical Track

Traditional technique, held to a traditional standard.

Our Classical Track focuses on the discipline at the root of everything else. Graded ballet syllabus, pointe work by teacher approval, and a serious pathway for students whose sights are set on conservatory training or a professional company, including the Youth America Grand Prix, a cornerstone of the division.

  • Graded classical ballet technique
  • Pointe: introduced only with teacher approval
  • Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) preparation
  • Supported by our nonprofit, MCDA

04Performance Track

For dancers ready to showcase their talent on stage.

Our troupe rehearses and performs as a company. Dancers train across jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater, modern, ballet and acro, then take it to the stage. Performing teaches nerves, timing, and trusting the person beside you.

  • Ballet & Modern: the technical spine of the troupe
  • Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical & Musical Theater
  • Acro: strength, flexibility and safe progression

Common questions

How young can my dancer start?

Age two. Our Toddler and Creative Movement classes are designed for dancers who are brand new to a studio: short, playful and structured around what a two- or three-year-old can do.

What should my dancer wear to class?

Requirements vary by program and style. Leotard colors, tights, shoes and hair are all specified. Our Class Attire guide lists everything by track.

How do we register?

Registration runs through our parent portal, where you can see open classes, enroll, and manage your account. If you would rather talk it through first, call the studio at 410-335-4409.

When can a dancer start pointe?

Pointe work is introduced by teacher approval only. Readiness depends on strength, alignment and training history rather than age or eagerness. Your dancer’s ballet teacher will tell you when it is time.

Do you offer anything besides weekly classes?

Yes. Summer mini sessions and themed weeks, birthday parties for ages 2 through 13, and the pre-professional programming supported by our nonprofit, MCDA.
